Statement of Faith

Bible

The Bible (Old and New Testament) is Scripture, meaning that God inspired the writers to record what He wanted to communicate. It is the infallible, authoritative, and inerrant Word of God. And therefore the supreme and final authoritative rule for faith and practice.

God

There is one sovereign God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God, the Father Almighty, is the Creator of heaven and earth. He reveals His wisdom and power in the cosmos and exercises His dominion all over the universe, we can truly understand the world and all its creatures only in its relation to God.

Creation

The universe originated by the creative act of God as revealed in the Scriptures, therefore creation and man’s position over it can rightly be understood only in their relationship to the Triune God, who by His creation, restoration and governance directs all things to the coming of His kingdom and the glorification of His name.

Man

Created in the image of God, as male and female, in order to reflect His character and to enjoy a covenantal fellowship with Him. Man was created higher than any creatures, crowned with glory and honour, and instructed to exercise dominion over the world in loving obedience to God to interpret all reality in accordance with His design and law.

Sin

Man by disobeying God’s law separated himself from God and his neighbor, and brought God’s just judgment upon the creation. As a result, fallen man has become blind to the true meaning of life, and became enemies to his neighbor and other creations, misuses and represses the knowledge of God that confronts him in creation and in Scripture.

Christ

That the Christ of the Scriptures, The Word of God incarnate, reconciles the world to God, redeems our life in its entirety, restores our fellowship with God and the neighbor and renews our mind to know rightly God, ourselves, and the world in which we live.

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit has come to glorify Christ and to apply the saving work of Christ to our hearts. He convicts us of sin and draws us to the Savior. Indwelling our hearts, He gives new life to us, empowers and imparts gifts to us for service. He instructs and guides us into all truth, and seals us for the day of redemption.

Purpose of Education

Education serves to direct and guide children to commit their heart to the Truth, to attain to understanding wisdom and righteousness, and to perform their competent and responsible services to the Lord. The result is that they become mature committed followers and reflections of Christ.

Parents

God’s plan is for parents to lead in the provision of development for their children. Churches and Christian schools certainly have a viable role in that process, but it is parents who will be held accountable by God for the growth of their offspring. It is the parents’ responsibility to teach their children the love of the Lord and to train them for a life of obedience in His service.

Children

All people matter to God, regardless of their age, gender, ethnicity or nationality, and children seem to have a particularly tender place in His heart. The Bible makes it clear that children are uniquely special to God. In His eyes, children are desirable, and so valuable that He commands us to protect them. God loves them and wants them to experience the best, right from the start of their lives.
